If treatment is indicated at this time, the patient will be set up for diagnostic records, which can usually be done the same visit. A records fee will be due at that time, but is included in the overall total treatment fee if the patient goes through with treatment.
Complete orthodontic records include impressions for study models, digital photographs, and x-rays of the teeth and jaws. This information is used to confirm initial findings and develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move during orthodontic care.
After Dr. Wang has evaluated the clinical and diagnostic records, he will present his findings the treatment options in detail. All the patient responsibilities along with the exact cost, available payment plans and estimated treatment time will be outlined.
The appointment when you get your appliances usually takes 45 to 90 minutes. You will then see us at regular intervals of 4 to 8 weeks. These adjustment appointments are usually 10 to 30 minutes long. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us at least 24-48 hours in advance. It may be difficult to get a convenient time (early morning/late afternoon) if you need to reschedule an appointment on short notice. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us.
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s problem. Being sensitive to the fact that everyone has different needs in fulfilling their financial obligations, we are happy to provide the following payment options.
If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. However, we will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
